Dear Readers,

Once upon a time, in a distant land — yet somehow very close to us and to our present time — there was a people made of many peoples.

A red land carried beneath the vastness of a blue sky.
A land where I was able to feel the true magic of ancient wisdoms, the strength of collective love, and the depth of the bonds connecting beings and memories.
What a sun…
Yes, it was there that I encountered an Africa I had never truly touched before.

This work is part of an important collection entitled “Light on Gabon.”

This collection is composed of ten fundamental books whose mission is to reveal, preserve, and transmit the richness of the cultural heritage of the peoples of Gabon, many treasures of which still remain unknown or invisible to the eyes of the world.

Not everything, however, can be fully revealed.
Certain forms of knowledge belong to living traditions and will continue to be transmitted through words, gestures, and initiatory practices.

Yet through these pages, perhaps you will come a little closer to this precious memory, to these stories, these arts, and these visions of the world that continue to travel through time.
